- If you’re looking to self-publish then this is the book for you. The author clearly is a success at self publishing, which will help new authors feel a bit more confident with the process. The writing here is easy to follow and will allow you to refer back to the things you need without feeling lost in the material.
When it comes to being honest about the price of self publishing, this book is certainly a great asset to have with you. The author doesn’t sugar coat things, nor does he exaggerate, which should help those who hope to self-publish know they’re ready.
Potential self-publishers will love this book largely because it feels like you are being given advice from someone sitting in the same room. This should help the information stick a lot easier, which will make your experience in the self-publishing world a little less scary.
I’d recommend this book to new authors or even those going through the process for a third or fourth time. - I was really excited to read this one since I just finished my "book baby" and unsure what to do next. As much as I loved working with the small indie publishing company for my first book, I wanted to try self publishing. But as I know nothing, I wanted my research to be short and to the point, which is exactly what Mike Kowis does here. It's a quick read and he even offers up estimated monetary values - which is what I like.
The blurb pretty much sums up this book. It's a 14-step guide that will help you with what you need on your self-publishing journey. It doesn't sound all that daunting. 14 steps. No big deal, right?? And the way Mike lays it out, it doesn't sound too big of a task. It is a marathon, after all.
